Home to school transport

Our home to school transport policies are available to download below.



Travel passes

Travel Pass Applications

To qualify for a free school travel pass you must live within the Hull City boundary.

- Children attending primary school are entitled to free travel to their nearest suitable school (with a place available) if it is more than two miles from their home address by the shortest safe walking distance.

- Children attending secondary school are entitled to free travel to their nearest suitable school (with a place available) if it is more than three miles from their home address by the shortest safe walking distance.

- Children attending secondary school who are from low Income families (see definitions) up to the end of Year 11 are entitled to free travel to

one of the three nearest suitable schools with places available if it is more than two miles by the shortest safe walking route and up to six miles

or

The nearest school preferred by reason of a parent or carer’s religion or belief if it is more than two miles by the shortest safe walking route and not more than 15 miles away


Lost or stolen bus pass

If your bus pass has been lost or stolen, please telephone 01482 300 300 for a replacement bus pass application form.

If you have lost your pass there is a charge of £10 for a replacement, which can be paid by cash, cheque or postal order, cheques and postal orders should be made payable to Kingston upon Hull City Council.
