Active Hull - A Strategy for Sport and Physical Activity 2014 - 2017

Active Hull is Hull's new strategy for sport and physical activity.

The new strategy builds on the city's previous strategy for sport and recreation 'Pride, Passion and Participation 2008 - 2013'.

It provides a common vision for everyone involved in the delivery of sport and physical activity in Hull, and has been developed with the input of local stakeholders, clubs, schools and residents.

Active Hull also provides a framework to continue to drive and support a more coordinated and targeted approach to the work being done to increase opportunities and participation across the city.

It follows six priority themes -

  • Hull as a sporting destination
  • children, young people and families
  • active travel
  • not just sport – active living
  • reaching communities
  • places and spaces
