Local land charges register

The local land charges register is located in the local land charges office, Guildhall, Hull.

The register holds information on more than 10,000 sites and properties, and is updated daily. The amount of information in the register is massive and must be readily available. In recent years, new industrial estates and housing developments in Hull have increased our records further.

We now offer even faster searches of the register.

These are the types of information or 'charges' that are in the register -

  • financial charges
  • tree preservation orders
  • conservation areas
  • demolition orders
  • enforcement notices
  • planning obligations
  • listed buildings
  • house improvement grants
  • land compensation
  • sites of special scientific interest (SSSIs)
  • smoke control orders
  • ancient monuments
  • closing orders
