Cooling towers registration

Hull City Council is responsible for the registration of premises where cooling towers and evaporative condensers are located within the city boundary under the Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations 1992.

Persons in control of the equipment must also notify us when any registered equipment is taken permanently out of use.

The registration scheme should enable the local authority and health authorities to quickly trace the possible causes of an outbreak of an infectious disease and to take rapid action to deal with an emergency.
