Animal boarding licence

An animal boarding establishment licence is required where a business is providing accommodation for other people's animals. This includes private dwellings.

Licences to board cats and dogs are issued under the Animal Boarding Establishment Act 1963 and must be renewed annually.

Once an application has been received, a council officer will arrange to inspect the premises to ensure its suitability. The licence will be issued once all licence conditions are met and after payment of the licence fee.

Payment

Animal boarding establishment annual licence - £126 inclusive of VAT. The licence period runs from December to December
