Push Iron Project
Are you aged between 16 and 21? Would you like to learn how to build and maintain bikes? If you answered yes, the Push Iron Project is for you!
At the project you will learn how to strip, paint and re-assemble a bicycle over six weeks. You will also complete a ride out with the group, so when your bike is complete you can feel confident you can go on to get around on your own.
When you’ve finished the project not only will you get to keep your bike (complete with lights and locks), you will also receive a Youth Achievement Award.
After the programme you can go on to Hull College to study towards NVQ 1 and 2 in cycle maintenance, or we can support you into other types of training.
The project runs every Friday, 1pm - 3pm at Platform 12, Unit 12, Station Drive, Beverley Road, Hull, HU5 1AD.
The project is managed jointly by the youth service and the young people's support service with technical support provided by Bike-Fix.
