Cycling strategy

We produce a local cycling strategy which sets targets to increase cycle use and reduce cycle accidents.

As part of our local transport plan, pedestrians and cyclists are placed at the top of our road user hierarchy. The plan focuses on reducing private car use and encouraging alternative modes of transport.

Cycling has a major role to play in reducing traffic congestion and improving the environment throughout the city.
