Boating lake

In 1913 Thomas Ferens gifted the land for the building of a 16 acre boating lake to the people of Hull.

A haven for wildlife, boaters and anglers which was dug out by unemployed locals after World War I.

Swan/Row boats

The swan boats are available for use from Saturday 1 April until Sunday 1 October.

Take a peddle around the lake during the summer in a swan pedallo boat, or enjoy a trip in a more traditional row boat. All boats run from the wooden jetty in front of the boathouse. There is a maximum of five occupants in the bigger swans.

Cost per half hour: £3
