Smoke control areas

Most of Hull is a smoke control area with the exception of a few small areas. It is illegal to emit any smoke from any chimney in a smoke control area.

There are some exceptions to the smoke control area. The list of these exempt areas is available to download below -

The smoke control areas are in addition to air quality measures, which control emissions to air from all sources of emissions, particularly from vehicles.
