About Hull

Humber BridgeLocation

One of Yorkshire’s key cities, Hull sits on the Humber Estuary - next to the iconic Humber Bridge.

In line with Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool on the M62, Hull is perfectly positioned just 200 miles from London and Edinburgh, 100 miles from Manchester and less than an hour’s drive from Leeds and York.

Hull has excellent transport links including -

  • the port of Hull, with luxury cruise liners including the Pride of Hull and the Pride of Rotterdam which make daily journeys to Europe
  • award winning Hull Trains, which take you directly to the capital in under three hours
  • Paragon Interchange, with buses and trains that deliver you to destinations across the region and the UK
  • Humberside Airport, which is within easy reach with two other Yorkshire airports nearby
  • the M62, which links Hull to the motorway network, making road travel to all parts of the UK quick and easy

Good quality of life

Property - ranging from city centre apartments and Georgian town houses to newly built homes or a variety of houses in surrounding villages - is affordable to buy or rent. The journey to work is quick by road or public transport and there is plenty to do in Hull and the surrounding region. We have excellent post 16 education at three colleges and two universities.

Lots to do

Whether it is our nine free museums and art gallery, shopping, eating out, our award-winning tourist attraction, The Deep, a varied nightlife and nearby coast and countryside, there is always something to do.

A city on the up

With lots of investment, Hull’s regeneration is attracting the best in retail and business opportunities. Our recent sporting success with Hull City AFC and both of our rugby league teams is just another sign of a city on the up.
