About My Vote - registration forms in other languages

Registering to vote has changed

Register to voteThe voter registration system has changed. The new system is called Individual Electoral Registration.

Everyone is responsible for registering themselves (under the old system the head of every household could register everyone who lived at their address). You need to provide a few more details which makes the electoral register more secure.

Over 50 per cent of households in Hull have returned their household enquiry form.

All households are legally required to return this form every year, so don't delay, do it today.

Already registered

If you are already on the the electoral register your name appears pre printed on the form. To ensure you remain registered please return your form as soon as possible.

This can be done in the following ways -

  • online - this can be done whether changes are required to the form or not. Use the web address and the security code on your paper form

  • by telephone or text - if no changes are required to the details. Using the relevant number and entering the security code supplied on the paper form

  • post - using the pre paid envelope provided

Not registered

If your name does not appear on the paper form as stated above, each household member not listed needs to register individually.

You can register to vote for future elections by completing the online form below.

Fill in your name, address, date of birth and some other details.

You’ll also need your National Insurance number, which is on your National Insurance card or official paperwork such as payslips, or letters about benefits or tax credits.

You will receive confirmation to say you’re registered or we will contact you if further information is required to process your application.
