Winner of the Best Tourist Body 2009 at the Group Leisure Awards

Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY) won this award through their work in improving perceptions of Hull.

VHEY raises awareness of Hull and East Yorkshire's attractions amongst national and international audiences and aims to increase the number of visitors to the region.

The packages it puts together for travel organisers to bring groups of tourists to the region are just one of the ways in which it does this. As well as providing a valuable boost to the local economy, the trips help to spread the word further afield about what Hull has to offer.
