Make a trading standards complaint

We will investigate complaints relating to -

  • unsafe goods
  • pricing and labelling
  • counterfeit goods
  • motor vehicles (and servicing)
  • weights and measures
  • food standards
  • misdescribed goods and services
  • consumer credit
  • illegal sales to young people
  • doorstep crime
  • petroleum and explosives (including firework safety)
  • unfair commercial practices

How to make a complaint

If you would like to make a complaint about a trader, contact the Citizen's Advice cosumer service helpline on 0345 404 0506. They will provide advice to you and refer your enquiry to us if you require further advice or for us to investigate your complaint. We will look into your complaint and let you know of the final outcome.
