I want to view my council tax or housing benefit online

if you or your partner is over 60 years old:

If you get Pension Credit

The Pension Service pays Pension Credits, but it does not cover rent or Council Tax.

When you make a claim for a Pension Credit via the telephone to the Pension Service, if you do not already get Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit you will be asked whether you want to make a claim at the same time for these benefits. The telephone call is then also your claim to Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit (or both). The Pension Service will send the information needed to process your Housing / Council Tax Benefit claim to Hull Benefit Services.

When the Pension Service has assessed your entitlement to Pension Credits, they will tell us about this separately.

If you don't get Pension Credit

If you don’t get Pension Credit, you must claim Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit (or both) directly from us. You need to do this by completing a Housing Benefit application form.

Once you have filled in the form, send it back to us as soon as possible. For more information see our leaflet
