Hull adoption

Arrow Request an information pack – If you are thinking about adoption and would like more information or you feel ready to apply to adopt, please get in touch with us.
Arrow  Who can adopt – Anybody aged over 21 can adopt. There is no upper age limit. By law however, we cannot accept applications from anyone convicted of certain violent or sexual offences or convicted of offences against children, or whose household members have been convicted of such offences.
Arrow The children who need adopting – Just as adoptive carers come from all walks of life, so do the children who need adopting. We match children to adoptive parents who best meet the child’s needs.
Arrow The adoption process – Our step by step guide explains our adoption process, from deciding whether adoption is for you to starting your life with your adopted child.
Arrow Support for adoptive parents – Adoption is a lifelong commitment and we are here to support you every step of the way.
Arrow Support for adopted children – As well as supporting children going through the adoption process we can help if you have been affected by adoption, whether you have been adopted or you are the adopters, the birth parents, or other birth relatives.
Arrow Contact with birth families (letterbox service) – Find out about the options available to you if you are adopted and want to contact your birth family or if you are a birth family member wanting to contact adopted family members.
Arrow Adoption support fund - Find out about who can access this fund and what it can help with.

The National Adopters Charter

We have signed up to the government’s Adopters' Charter as a sign of our commitment to adoptive parents. We want adopters to feel valued and respected for the chance they provide to transform a child’s life. If you decide to adopt we will help and support you through your journey of becoming an adoptive parent.
