The Guildhall - location and facilities

The Guildhall is in the city centre on Alfred Gelder Street, near Queens Gardens. The main entrance is opposite the Wilson statue.


There are pay and display bays on Alfred Gelder Street and a pay and display car park on Wilberforce Drive. George Street multi storey car park is a short walk away.

Cycle parking is available to the right of the main entrance and also opposite the side entrance on Guildhall Road.

Ramped access is available at the main entrance of The Guildhall. Wheelchair accessible lifts are available to all floors.

Guildhall Public opening hours -

  • Monday to Thursday - 8.30am to 5pm
  • Friday - 8.30am to 4pm

Saturday and Sunday and public holidays - closed except when an event is on

The facility can be made available in the evenings or when public access to the building is closed, by contacting 01482 613 017. Access will then be by the staff entrance only, accessed to the side of the building on Hanover Square.

  • Monday to Friday - 6.30am to 9.30pm
  • Saturday - 8.30am to 4.30pm
  • Sunday - Closed  

The building is open for longer at weekends, including Sundays when there are events in The Guildhall or nearby. Please telephone 01482 613 017 to check.

Visitors cannot consume their own food and drink in The Guildhall.

Our Venue Hull cafe sells a range of hot and cold food and drinks.
