Business
Hull is not just changing, it is being transformed. In the past five years £1.5 billion has been committed or earmarked for new development across the business, transport, retail, housing, leisure, educational and cultural sectors.
A dynamic, waterfront city situated on the Humber (the country’s busiest trading estuary) Hull is one of the UK’s premier ports and a major gateway for exports and imports to and from Europe. The investment underlines the city’s aspirations to compete once more on the European stage.
Hull City Council works closely with a number of key partners in driving forward Hull’s ambitious regeneration agenda, including the regional development agency Yorkshire Forward and Hull Forward, the city's Urban Regeneration Company. We work together with the aim of creating the conditions that allow enterprise to flourish.
Whether you are planning to set up a new business or looking at options for relocation, the opportunities and support you can expect in Hull are second to none.
We help existing and new enterprises to grow. We offer business advice and support, encourage and promote business opportunities and provide a range of business services to private and public sector organisations.
We manage business licences and permits, work with companies to monitor and improve trading standards and ensure that consumers are protected.
