Volunteer Projects

We have many different activities to offer our volunteers depending on your area of interest and level of expertise. Here are some examples of current projects you can get involved in:

Future Ferens:

Are you....

18 to 25 and passonate about art?

Want to make a difference and want to get experience working in an art gallery?

Then....

Get involved with Future Ferens and show us what you want to see happening at the Ferens Art Gallery. Gain direct experience of working in a gallery - great for CV's, coursework, references and getting a job! See behind the scenes and learn more about the Ferens' fantastic collection. Take part in everything from hands-on workshops and painting the gallery, to organising exhibitions and staging events.

Education Activities and Events:

The museum hosts plenty of weekend and holiday events, and as a volunteer you can get involved in craft activities, object interpretation and interacting with the public. We are already planning our activities for 2011, which will include half-term, Easter and summer holiday workshops and events. The major one day events will see the return of Gladiators, Vikings and the Christmas event, all held in the Museums Quarter on High Street, so plenty to keep everyone busy!
