What We Do
What We Do
Hull Museums has eight different sites across the city with a diverse range of collections including art, costume, archaeology, natural history, maritime and local history, slavery and transport. We are continually in the process of improving the care and accessibility of these objects, as well as creating exhibitions and events for the visiting public to enjoy.
We already have a pool of volunteers who help us out with their interest and enthusiasm for the collections, but occasionally we do have a need for more. Duties may include:
Childrens craft activities
Assisting with exhibitions
Providing expert knowledge on specific collections
If volunteer placements cannot be found working with the collections, there may be opportunities to help out our education team who have specific volunteer projects working with community groups. Unfortunately, due to the number of applicants and staff time we cannot always guarantee a placement, but your name will be added to our volunteer pool so we can contact you at a later date.
If you are over eighteen and interested in volunteering with us, please contact us by email, phone or post at:
