Public Catalogue Foundation and Hull Museums

2010 saw the completion of a major project with the Public Catalogue Foundation to produce images and information on every single oil and acrylic painting in the collections of Hull Museums. That's about 1,800 items! The process to photograph and collate the information took just over six months, but it was a great opportunity for us to document and update our records at the same time.

The catalogue is due for publication soon, which will include all of the collections for the East Riding of Yorkshire, many of which are in storage and are rarely seen by the public. They will also be published on-line, but more details can be found on the Public Catalogue Foundation website at www.thepcf.org.uk.
