Hull Screen
Hull Screen opened in 1969, making it one of the oldest film theatres in the country. It is the region’s foremost independent cinema and the best of world cinema is at the core of its programme.
But Hull Screen also caters for all groups, with its -
- Saturday children’s matinees
- Friday afternoon performances of more mainstream and classic movies from the National Film Archive
- special events, such as silent films with live accompaniment
The cinema also hosts the annual ‘Made in Hull’ event - an event which gives local people a platform to see their films on the ‘big screen’. And Hull Screen is also home to the annual Hull International Short Film Festival organised by Hull Film (link opens in new window).
