Hull City Council is undertaking essential maintenance works along Chanterlands Avenue North from Saturday 17 March.

The works will be carried out over two consecutive weekends:

Saturday 24 – Sunday 25 March
To allow works to take place safely it will be necessary to close a section of the area to through traffic for the duration of the works.

Traffic will be diverted along Fairfax Avenue - Bricknell Avenue and Newland Avenue - Cottingham Road.

Councillor Alan Clark, portfolio holder for highways and transport, said:

“We are carrying out these essential works over the weekend in order to minimise disruption to residents, motorists and businesses in the area.

“We ask that motorists are patient and apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of the works.”

During these works Goddard Avenue will be closed at the junction with Chanterlands Avenue. Access in and out of Goddard Avenue will be via Newland Avenue.

Bus services will be diverted along Fairfax Avenue and Bricknell Avenue and access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
