Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner to attend Hull Tenants Forum - 20/04/17
The Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner Keith Hunter will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of Hull City Council’s Tenants Forum, which will take place on Tuesday 25 April from 10am – 12noon in The Guildhall.

Mr Hunter was elected Police and Crime Commissioner for the area in May last year and recently published his Police and Crime Plan, which outlines his priorities for the force. His attendance at the Tenant’s Forum will be an opportunity for participants to comment on the Plan and raise any policing matters of concern in their neighbourhoods.

Cllr John Black, Portfolio Holder for Infrastructure and Housing said: “Community safety and feeling safe and secure in your home are top concerns for everyone. Our tenants are the experts on where they live and the Forum is their chance to have discuss local policing with the Commissioner. We always encourage as many people as possible to attend, and the fact that we have a speaker of the calibre of Mr Hunter is testimony to their role as an informed and highly regarded consultative forum.”

Tenant participation is at the heart of Hull’s Neighbourhoods and Housing Services. The monthly Tenants Forum is one of a number of ways that tenants can be involved in shaping the service. There are regular estate walks, focus groups cover a range of areas form multi-storey living, homelessness and dealing with complaints to customer services, tenancy standards and more.

Hull Housing has its own Facebook page too for comments and ideas - and Tweets using the Council's Twitter feed @Hullccnews.
Tenants, residents and other interested parties from across the city are all welcome to attend the Tenants Forum and anybody who is interested in coming along and/or getting involved in any other tenant participation activity should contact 300300 or email
