Roadworks George Street and Market Place resurfacing - 03/11/16
Hull City Council is undertaking essential carriageway resurfacing works to George Street and Market Place.

  • Monday 7 till Wednesday 9 November, overnight closures will be in place from 7pm - 6am on George Street
  • Monday 14 till Wednesday 16 November, overnight closures will be in place from 7pm - 6am on Market Place

    Advanced warning signs are already in place and diversion routes will be signposted. Access for businesses and residents will be maintained.

    Graham Hall, Assistant City Highways, Safety and Transport Manager, said:

    ""The work being carried out is vital to restore the roads and provide a safe surface for traffic with adequate grip and skid resistance. This work will significantly improve the current state of damaged roads for both pedestrians and motorists.

    ""We acknowledge the work could mean delays for some motorists and we do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but the end result will be beneficial for all.""
