Regenerating the Preston Road area - 03/10/16
Regeneration work in the Preston Road area is progressing well and Hull City Council and partners are holding an information event at The Freedom Centre, Preston Road this Thursday (6 October) between 2 and 7pm.

The latest news about demolition, new homes and improvements for those in the refurbishment areas will be on show. There will be information about the new homes being built on the Portobello Street, Maybury Road, Southcoates Lane and David Lister sites, as well as the planned NHS Hull integrated care centre.

Councillor Martin Mancey, Hull City Council Portfolio Holder for infrastructure, said:

""Already with the new homes on Ganstead Grove you can see that the neighbourhood is changing and there's a new mood of optimism and pride in the neighbourhood.

""The redevelopment of the Preston Road area is demonstrating that sustainable regeneration is achievable and its success is testament to the strength of the partnership involved and, of course, the people who live there.""

Representatives from Hull City Council and partners will be available to answer enquiries from visitors.
