Stay safe in the sun - 30/06/15
Now that sunnier days are here, Hull City Council is urging people to take care in the hot weather and to keep an eye on young children, older and more vulnerable people as the temperatures are expected to rise over the next few days and into next week.

The Met Office has issued an alert to warn people of the increasing temperatures for Wednesday 1 July and could potentially be the hottest day of the year.

Julia Weldon, Director of Public Health, said:

""We want everyone to enjoy the sun but we also want them to stay safe in the hot weather.
""High temperatures could be dangerous especially for children and vulnerable people so it is important we look out for them.

""NHS Choices and Public Health England provide some really good advice, especially staying hydrated by drinking cool drinks, staying out of the sun during the hottest parts of the day and wearing sun cream.""
