Hull UK City of Culture 2017 - 1,000 days to go...

The countdown has begun.

Today marks 1,000 days to go until the first day of Hull’s spectacular City of Culture year.

With events scheduled to take place every single day throughout 2017, this is a major milestone in the journey that will change the way the world sees Hull forever.

Hull is named UK City of Culture 2017!

In November 2013, Hull was named the UK City of Culture 2017, after facing tough competition from 11 great cities.

Find out more about 'How Hull won'. Two events were recently held which covered the role of the public and partners in supporting the bid, feedback on the bid from the decision making panel and the impact of the award to date. Members of the bid team outlined the next steps, explained the work that is currently ongoing to prepare for 2017 and answered questions.
